We believe that the catering service in a hospital plays a vital role in a patient’s care. At Altec Hospital, Amritsar, we have a big and in-house cafeteria for the patients and their guests, providing healthy, and flexible meals. Also, this service is responsible for all in-house, third-party operated food and drink outlets, vending machines, and catering in Altec Laser Hospital. The team is dedicated to providing fresh, high-quality food and drinks at competitive prices. 

Having trained staff in catering skills and hygienic practices, our cooks prepare and serve all the meals as per the food safety legislation and procedures. Exact quality controls, food quality temperature monitoring, kitchen area cleanliness, pest control program implementation, staff’s health checkup and periodical inspection of the catering department is our major undertaking to assure safe and hygienic food. The patients are also provided with nutritional counselling by the registered nutritionists/dietitian. Hence, we take care of our patients’ likes and dislikes as well as their needs according to their health conditions. Our cafeteria is open daily. We serve the needs of the patients & their visitors, hospital staff and also, at Altec Hospital’s cafeteria, we monitor the daily waste, to manage to prepare the required food only.

Healthy items are also on our list of vending operations, consisting of fresh fruit, beverages, salads, yoghurt, and healthier versions of typical snack items. We aim at offering the substitute to high-sodium and high-calorie convenience beverages and snacks alongside presenting varied favourites.
